Show Me How

Standard

I like to dance
But I don’t know how

I like to groove
But I don’t know how

I like to move
But I can’t do it alone

I want to dance
Will you show me how?
I want to groove
Will you teach me now?
I want to move
Will you move with me?

I like to dance
But I don’t know how

I want to dance
So I can be in your arms

Show me how
So I can feel your arms
Show me now
With your arms
Around my waist

I want to dance and
Lose myself in your arms
Your warmth and
The magic of your touch

I want to dance
Will you show me how?

  1. I truly love this poem. The art you chose to accompany it is great. The entire piece is a river of movement and magic. Keep up the awesome writing. Thank you for posting this one, I love it.

  2. Terrific poem. I like the desire for connecting with a partner and learning from them. A great sensation. As for actual dancing, I appear to have missed out on that particular talent as well. Still, it is the joy of trying, with the proper someone that really matters.

  3. Found you via Susie’s paaaarty!!

You most certainly CAN write! Actually, this would be good to music. This is the second poem I’ve found today were I’ve thought this. Great work, boomiebol!
