I walk hand in hand with you Through the garden of fresh desire Love blooming like red rose petals usher in spring The sweet fragrance of our (late) night air Droplets of silver rain gently trickle down Your soft palms melt into mine The thirst of a fortnight quenched In one passionate smooch

Beautifully written Boomie 😉

Thanks aunt Sandee :). Got any special plans???? Me, mommy duty and work ugh lol
Pretty love words.
thanks so much Ms. Kim
good one! I must say a passionate smooch is much better than a passionate pooch.
I busted out in laughter as I read this lol…too funny.
🙂
In “No Longer at Ease” – was his downward spiral because he dared love an Osu?
I don’t think it was all because of that. A lot contributed to his downward spiral…
The Igbo people are somewhat particular about marrying among their tribe, but these days many break the rules lol. But in the past it could be a catalyst for disaster…
it was interesting that even the Christians couldn’t overcome the stigma of he Osu.
Yes it is. I think often times even though we claim and practice Christianity for the most part, we often still hold on to our cultural traditions and beliefs as long as they seem “harmless”
I have family members who often teased that they would be disappointed if any of us married outside our tribe or even state…I never agreed or understood it. As I grow older I see their point of view but I still don’t agree…
I also see the cost of truly believing. These are beautiful stories.
is this your homeland and tribe described?
No I am Yoruba, another tribe. There are 3 major tribes- Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa.
Then there are mini tribes under each one all with very many different languages.
I say one Nigeria but sadly it is not
thank you.
Can always count on hot Sundays from you 😉

Thank you so much :).
I can’t stop saying it. You are just so good with words! They seem to lift one into another world. I feel the sweet fragrance. Or am I hearing it? Maybe I can even see it. You are a master of poetry or is it a mistress? I just know that you are an authority! 🙂
Good work!
