Winter Blues

Standard
Winter has me bound hands and knees first
I am a captive 60 days and still counting...
My heart broken in its embrace cannot see spring’s color filled horizon
My mind wanders for days without end longing for hope’s warmth and love’s touch
Sleep deprived and dreams unfulfilled
My tired eyes sag under the burden of heavy falling snow

  1. Do you suffer with S.A.D.? Seasonal Affective Disorder? Apparently St John’s Wort can do wonders for it. It can put a bounce in your step and make it seem like Spring is tomorrow :-)

    Great poem.

  2. So beautiful dear Boomie, especially these lines, how beautiful!
    “Sleep deprived and dreams unfulfilled
My tired eyes sag under the burden of heavy falling snow”
I loved its poetical sound… Thanks and Love, nia

  3. I’m feeling you on this one Twinnie.
May the sun shine bright & blow the winter blues away. Winter may be outside your window. But – I hear spring is on her way…
