Thank You Always

Standard

It must always be said, it can never be said enough, and so as often as I possibly can I say THANK YOU!

For always stopping by, reading, liking, commenting, and offering your friendship & support.

In the midst of life’s chaos, and the many stresses of adulthood, this platform brings me to my centered joy. I find myself smiling like a darling child when I am reading your comments, and posts. Thank you all so much.

I have not been able to respond to all comments as I would like or visit new followers as I should, but I am most grateful.

Have a wonderful Monday and a lovely week. God bless

Thank You Always!

Longing For Words

Standard

I long for the days when words flowed
Like rivers of many water
Pens running dry at the sight of paper
Inks wasted not night after night
Blisters and finger sores
A sign of victory
Wisely masked between metaphors
And Sunday’s steamy nights

Behind The Flicking Lamps- Friday Fictioneers 3/29

Standard

After been MIA for a few weeks, I am back this week for another Friday Fictioneer per Rochelle. This week’s image is also courtesy of her.

I came up with a short story that might be a tad vague or doesn’t say much…and yet somehow it does…please feel free to comment and offer constructive criticisms. As always join in the fun. THANK YOU ALWAYS AND HAVE A GREAT EASTER.

The kitchen remained just as it had been that tragic night…frozen in time, December 27th 2008 to be precise. Everything else moved on with life’s unpredictable pace, everything but this room.

Dimly lit and seemingly innocent, Sarah- Jane and her sisters made sure the room was secluded, and undisturbed…it took threats, screams, yells, and protests but they got their wish…no one dared look in the room let alone enter it. It was under preservation they said; just as their mother had wished it to be in her will…just as she had wanted it to be after that night…

A deadly and untold secret perfectly masked behind the room’s flicking lamps…

My Grateful Thankful Heart

Standard

There is no doubt in my mind, that I am a loved girl. The wonderful messages of support and love I received following my mini meltdown last Saturday has done more than I could have ever expected or asked for.

I wrote just to ease my mind but your comments, messages, and words of encouragement did more than ease my mind, they lifted my spirits and made me truly thankful. I find myself going back to read the comments, and I cannot tell you enough how truly blessed I am to have you all in my life. THANK YOU!!!

I am truly honored to be a part of this wonderful community and I am genuinely humbled to be friends with such amazing, generous, and kind people. My heart will be forever grateful, thanks so much for making me feel better.

A big shout out to all who have followed and visited my blog in the past few weeks. I am hoping to stop by your blogs soon, and also get back to writing. Many thanks.

God bless!!!

A Poetic Gift And Thank Yous’

Standard

I had the most beautiful day all thanks to God, and you all. I ate, laughed, danced, played, got teary eyed, and all in all had fun.

My day was taken to a new height of gratitude with a wonderful poem I got from my dearest Twinnie; and I thought to share with you all. Thanks so much I am truly grateful, God bless!!!

Once upon a March 1st
Not too long ago
A beautiful sweet mother so full of glow
To deliver they go
While angels from heaven
So full of glee
Celebrate the chosen baby
to ride the sunbeam
A blessing sent to earth
Momma’ gives birth
Calls her living angel
Olúbùnmi

Written by the talented Rosy, thanks Twinnie

Congratulations to Ms. Cathy Ulrich, winner of the anniversary giveaway…and as a bonus for being my longest reader, and for a while silent follower Ms.Rosy Shea also gets a small token of love, and appreciation.

MANY THANKS TO YOU FOR THE LOVE, SUPPORT, FRIENDSHIP, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND SO MUCH MORE. I had planned to take today’s post to the next level by doing a video with me reading one of my poems, and then expressing some words from my heart, but I didn’t get to it (or maybe i chickened out). Still my heart thanks you all so much.

Glasses raised to you. God bless

Love always

Poetry In The Times Of Social Media

Standard

Poems in times of Facebook twitter
and all things social media
beg to be brief in their ramblings

Words are limited to powerful and thought provoking contents
Subjects varying from politics to technology
Characters captivating souls

Then there are wasted days like this
with nothing much to do
Thoughts lead nowhere except to
Meaningless inner debates about exes’ and such
Poems become a few drunken dials and many useless talks

Poets

Standard
Poets& writers of poems are innocent to behold
Imagination swirling and painting rainbows
In their flustered minds

Words are more than alphabets conjoined from preschool
Syllables more than breaks and form
Love is most definitely more than a four letter word
Do not get them started on hate
Their thoughts often deep and with intent

Don’t be fooled however by their canvas of words
Spilling butterflies cocoa socks& silver lines
On a clear summer noon

Innocence is far from their flustered creative minds

*Post 500 :)* Have a wonderful week friends, God bless*

Merry Christmas!!!

Neatly wrapped in a bow of beige and care
Sent flying in the winds so high
My love and heart I send to all
This Christmas dawn

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
