How Quickly I Forget

Standard

The truth is I am blessed
Yet somehow in the midst of life
All I feel is stress
Lost in the world of back and forth
How quickly I forget

How quickly I forget the smile on two dainty faces
Faces that ask to be kissed over and over
Then some more over again
Soft dark skin forever blushing love

How quickly I forget the arms broad and wide wrapping me tight
Night after night
Sweetness and good lust whispered in eager ears

How quickly I forget my father’s words of wisdom
Timely and genuine
Quietly echoed with kindness and strength
Sound correction, profound truth

How quickly I forget the love of a Savior
Offered at will to an undeserving me
Time and time again

How quickly I forget L.O.V.E
Quiet and warm
Cheering me on
Leading me strong…

How quickly I forget
How truly blessed I am

At Noon

Standard

Saturday stole my heart
In the midst of summer’s cold rain
Washed by it’s immense quiet
I lost myself in a book or two
Imagination taking me past 2pm
And prosaic wifely duties

Hypnotized

Standard

I sit here in this single headspace
Entranced by your Augustness
Transfixed in time; my pulse is rising

My pulse is rising; rising fast with the outside temps
Soft thighs crossed in gentle submission to this masterful enchantment

I am hypnotized by your gentle strength and dark lust

BB (Bale Cafe)

Standard

I will like to go to a café with you
On a mid-Wednesday morning like this
Sip on hot cocoa creamy smooth and brown as you
Nibble sweetly at bits of marble coffee cakes
Strawberry glaze staining my happy lips pink

*I was in the city on Sunday, and saw the name of a cute cafe, Bale Cafe, and this poem was born :) *

A Saturday Night

Standard

Buttered toast and honey oats
Fingers crossed with cuddled toes
Warming fires snuggling close
Lovely night with unburdened clothes

You And I

Standard

I like how we complement each other
You and I

Your dimpled smile and my freckled face
Your wit and wise, my sweet and charm

What a pair we are
You and I

Like this and that
Sweet and wise
Wit and charm
So and so…

You and I

Write Me A Love Letter

Standard

I wonder if you could write me a love letter
On this wind struck Sunday night
Ink of red oozing love on blue scented papers
Your handwriting speaking of your brash affection for me

Write me a love letter speaking volumes of your innermost thoughts
My essence consuming your waking dawn
Love perfectly tucked between I and you
Desire awakened as you seal and send off to me

Sunday And Tuesday’s Collision

Standard
Your smell after that cold shower
Splashes your cologne’s musky scent
Into my heart’s weakest refrain
It awakens senses wisely buried
I can no longer help myself
As Sunday night rips into Tuesday’s unrest
Fatigue and warm desire subtly &softly collides
