Buttered toast and honey oats
Fingers crossed with cuddled toes
Warming fires snuggling close
Lovely night with unburdened clothes

Hello MAY!!!
I am new…
New in your august array
Dawn spreading joy quietly over me
A blanket of warmth peace and love
Birds chirping to my heart’s delight
A brand new day a brand new month
And lo & behold
What do you know…
A brand new me
*Happy new month friends, may it be a great one
. God bless*
Hope
A rainbow will appear
At the end of spring’s silver rain
I patiently await
Longing For Words
I long for the days when words flowed
Like rivers of many water
Pens running dry at the sight of paper
Inks wasted not night after night
Blisters and finger sores
A sign of victory
Wisely masked between metaphors
And Sunday’s steamy nights
How I Feel
I like how I feel on chilly nights like this
When I crawl up in bed
Next to your warmth
Better Than My UGG Boots
If ever I go do under
I will get me some UGG boots
Deep brown as the skin on my cold feet
For these snowy spring days & chilly June nights
But even I know that those cozy brown boots pale in comparison
To your warm breath on my nape down to my spine straight through
To my once cold feet
A Lone Tree-Friday Fictioneer 4/5
It is that time of the week again, Friday Fictioneers par Ms. Rochelle. This week’s image is courtesy of the very kind Scott.
I have come up with a poem for my contribution this week, please feel free to comment and leave constructive criticisms. As always, you are more than welcome to join in the fun and participate. THANKS FOR ALWAYS STOPPING BY!
A-top the lone tree for hours we would sit
Innocent and gay, childlike we were
Taking in nature’s silence &its expanse wasteland
Love and lust in our thin(ly) shaded eyes
Desire riding on the coattail of our every thought
The northern wind blowing high and low
Stilling our hearts on quiet spring days
I Want To Say I Love You
I want to say I love you In the most poetic of ways Using words like tendrils and lilacs My brown face blushing masked passion and desire On the coldest and darkest of warm summer days I want to say I love you Without being blunt and abrupt Using words like my bosom &fleshy heart beating fast as one Whenever you are near Tingles erupting way down and below I want to say I love you In the most romantic of ways Using raindrops and lullabies Soft spoken words &gentle sweet rhymes Syllables broken off in perfect vibes Just as clouds start to echo in thunder Lightning like paparazzi bulbs flashing you to my heart Silent rain drizzling down fast I want to say I love you In the most poetic of ways So I juggle silent words in my heart Open my brown eyes and like fire Blaze affection into yours Knowing no words were ever necessary
Spring Inside Of Me
There is spring somewhere deep inside of me Waiting to be unearthed by something irresistible Like your warm touch & soothing breath
Winter Blues
Winter has me bound hands and knees first I am a captive 60 days and still counting... My heart broken in its embrace cannot see spring’s color filled horizon My mind wanders for days without end longing for hope’s warmth and love’s touch Sleep deprived and dreams unfulfilled My tired eyes sag under the burden of heavy falling snow
