Another Delightful Sunday

Standard

Sparkling glass filled with champagne
Her full lips covered in strawberries
It’s juices trickling down the pink corners

Cool windy city breeze blows gently
Back and forth against the tree leaves
As sentimental music plays softly
In the dimly lit background

She feels the clouds gather for a shower
As she settles in quietly to an old lover
And the end of another delightful Sunday
That was mother’s day

  1. VERY COOL BREEZE. in the fist poem, you show the power of lion’s paw, in this poem you show the melting of ice. two different touches two different angles – marvelously established
    god bless you my child
    havea happy day

  2. Ah, Boomie, I get careful portrait. I like it. No Hallmark Card stuff here. This is sophisticated and mature and just good. My favorite, I think! 🙂
