I am good with words
Or so I have been told
But not on Friday nights
No…
Not on Friday nights
When scrabble is involved
And I am slightly buzzed

  1. Ah–my game–the game I was up until 4 this morning playing ๐Ÿ™‚

I had a boyfriend once who would pay this game with me into the wee hours and ply me with alcohol–not to get me in the mood for anything, but to buss and fuzz my mind to the point he would win…

    Love the poem!

  2. I haven’t played the board game version in ages. I love getting together with friends and playing.

I’m not a fan of the new Facebook version though. It’s too busy and cluttered. Simple is better.

    • I never tried the FB one, don’t even think i know of it. I am still learning the ropes on this one. I agree simple is better and it is often fun with friends. Thanks Dienna

  3. I love Scrabble! My sisters and I get together only once every year or so unfortunately, but one of our greatest joys is Scrabble we have between us six or seven old and I mean very old sets . We have been known to go antiquing and find an old set in a shop and argue over who will purchase and keep at their house. Ooooo I feel memory story coming on. …… Boomie this is a wonderful write may I ask does it matter what your buzzed on and does that make a difference? LOL

    • Great memories alright :). I don’t think i am a good player, perhaps because i usually have a drink just before scrabble :). I doubt what i am buzzed on matter, i just suck at scrabble…i played for the first time ever a few years ago
