This poem was written for KarenB’s poetry challenge…please check out her site for more details.
I came up with what I think is a silly nonsense I like it very much poem :). As always please feel free to participate, kind and honest criticisms are welcome. Have a wonderful week and thank you.
Bendy bendy
Ziggy zaggy
Reddish yellow
Maybe neon
My crazy silly straw
Not worth much
In a pack of 24
Definitely worth less all by itself
Still I find you most useful
On days of sugar rush
And chilly drinks craving
Blowing air through you
Bubbles erupting
In my chilled summer time concoction
Colorfully whimsical like you
My crazy silly
Bendy bendy
Ziggy zaggy
Reddish yellow
I think it’s neon
Crazy silly straw

I think Bill beat me to the punchline! This is great, I’d love to see more poems like this.
LoLl, you two put the fun in pun :). Thank you
This had such a nice whimsical sing-song rhythm to it! Nothing makes kids smile like getting a bendy-straw in their drink! Great take on the prompt!
Thank you so much Karen.
I think you have picked the best font colour for a straw post. Give a curly straw and I’ll be a happy man for at lest four and a half hours.
Yea, that colour is just so much fun. Smiling at the image of you with a curly straw happy and content for 4 and half hours :).
my straws are crazy too…people choose to pull difference ones, and see me pop out with something crazy cool…kudos. 🙂
I like this. If you collect enough of them, you can make a straw hat.
Thank you so much, that would be one silly straw hat
Who knew that straws can be so awesome!?
I know right? lol, thanks Jolyn
