Poetic juices
Flowing through this body
Imbibed by my blood
I live now on poetry
Circulating like fluids
In my heart and being
Pumping words
To arteries
Veins and capillaries
Poetry is my kinship
My nourishment
My lust
Poetry is my blood
My artistic source of life

I love this, Boomie. You and others have inspired me to give poetry a try. It’s really fun and challenging. But when it flows, there’s nothing like it!
Cathy
I agree when it flows it’s almost liberating. I am glad you are giving it a try because your poetry feels so effortless and power charged. Thank you so much!!!
Kinship. nourishment. Lust. Yep, that about covers it all, and so beautifully. Great poem.
I know you know about this Susan 🙂
Oh, yes I do–and you so perfectly described it here!
Thank you ever so much Susan 🙂
loved it!
Thanks much 🙂
Poetry is my blood
My artistic source of life
absolutely beautiful!
Thank you ever so kindly Len. Big hugs
Great feeling! For me it’s for prose, but I know where you’re coming from.
I love proses but i don’t think i can do them as well as some people can so i try not to mess with them. I think i tend to ramble too much when it comes to stories lol. Glad you could relate to this David, thank you so much.
Reblogged this on shafiqah1 and commented:
Oh Boomie, I subsist on poetry too, it’s the only way the world coheres for me ❤
Then this poem is definitely for you :). Thank you ever so much for the reblog
I had this sudden urge to tell you, that i love you!

What a beautiful feeling. You and poetry are definitely ONE. 🙂
Thank you Ms. Lily. That’s my new name for you Ms. Lily 🙂
This really does inspire Boomie — like poetry is nutrition – life blood – hormonal balance — ok – I will keep trying to write even if not posting very often — Thank you dear friend – this is a masterpiece 🙂 xo
Thank you dear Robyn. How are you feeling? Yea keep writing even if you aren’t posting as much, i find writing can be very therapeutic and it just might help you a bit. Sending love and big hugs 🙂
Yes, it is so very much who you are, Boomie. There is such a natural quality to the voice you share with us. Such a poetic voice must stem from an innately poetic heart.
Thank you ever so kindly and much for this generous comment. Made my heart really glad. Thank you very much
Love it!
That’s poetic DNA in your blood 🙂
Thanks twinnie :)! And as it is in you too
Made me think of Mark Strand’s “Eating Poetry.” So now I’m off to the library!
Oh gotta check that out…lucky you getting to go to the library :). Have fun
Poetry is truly in your blood Boomie. You are it and it is you, entwined beautifully. 🙂
Thank you so much LuAnn. Very much appreciated!!!
I can live to that, the compulsion that drives the need to write
Absolutely

“Mothers have no time to cry- No time to rest, nor even die. Mothers must love forever and more, Eternally, on and on and on- For mothers are creation’s glow of dawn.” Jack sent this to you, Boomie, and laughed that you don’t trust him. He said you should not. Cranky
OH Jack is all poetic i see lol. I still don’t trust him and i am glad he knows it lol. Now if he will just leave you alone
Damn you can write! Loved “imbibed by blood”
Thank you so much, i am blushing blue and red at the same time lol. Thanks so much for stopping by.
