Untitled: Feeling Disconnected

Softly woven with simplicity and faith
Mother’s words of advice and grace
Adorn my being like a nightly quilt

Hidden in many parts of me
I revisit (those) her words
On days like this
When I am feeling so disconnected
And down…

  1. Focussing on what soothes (like your Mom’s wise words), on those disconnected days is the perfect way to move your spirit up the vibrational ladder ~ This is beautiful … and I have no doubt that your connection to Mom’s words here will indeed lift you ~ sending healing thoughts to you dear boomie! xxoo RL

  2. Hope you’ll feel better soon, Boomie! To count my blessings is always an instant mood changer for me. Althought, disconnection is as important as being connected. Btw, I don’t know if you need this reminder, but maybe mommy needs break too, to fill herself up, to be able to share again. hugs

    • Thank you so much. I think i just had a moment…I needed to just cry and let it all out. Did that and feel somewhat better.

I had a wave of emotions this morning, missing my mom, and just thinking how i never got to say goodbye and her death is so permanent and it just hurts. I let it all out and thankfully the girls aren’t home today, so i had some quiet time.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Thanks for the hugs, and hugs to you dear. I sure wouldn’t mind a break :). Soon i hope

  3. I’m so sorry you were down earlier Bommie, but I’m happy you’re feeling a bit better. I lost my mom just over a year ago. Her words still bring me comfort too, every day. I wrote about it here: http://runningonsober.com/2012/08/21/if-a-note-from-my-mom/
I normally don’t post my links, but thought it may make you smile today. “a hole in your heart, making pies” and “because you really need to hear this (you are not alone)” speak a little to that pain and hope too, you can search them from my home page if or when you are feeling down.

    Sending you hugs… xxx

    • Thank you so much. I just read the note your mom left, and i am so grateful that you shared it with me. Moms are so wise aren’t they :).

I really appreciate this kind gesture from you. So sorry about your mom…may she continue to rest in peace. My mom passed away over 11 years ago but this year for some reason has been especially hard for me in that regard. I really appreciate your kindness, and am thankful you shared the link :).
